Amazing sculptural residence by McBride Charles Ryan Architecs. The geometry is apparently based on a klein bottle, which is a bit like two mobius loops connected together to form a surface with no distinction between the outer and inner. Complex and I cant begin to imagine the documentation for this, but it sure is beautiful. See more here…

We are developing a signage & wayfinding system for the Auburn Hospital in Sydney at the moment, and given the complexity of health environments, paring the navigation back to legible simplicity is an incredibly complex process… Kenya Hara achieved an inspirational outcome with this embedded guidance system, beautifully integrating his information into the fabric of the Architecture. Amazing interactive sculptural landmark that responds to human interaction and expresses context awareness using hundreds of sensors and over 15,000 individually addressable optical fibers. Constructed of carbon glass, rising over four meters high, and containing more than 65 kilometers of fiber optics, the Cloud encourages visitors to touch and interact with information in new ways, manifesting emotions and behavior through sound and a dichotomy of luminescence and darkness. Im in awe of the projects coming out of MIT, see them all here…

A must watch video… Taken at NASA’s Laboratories, are the recordings of space scientists describing the ever-changing geometry of magnetic fields, and the evolution of the fields as they delve into our inaudible surroundings. We don’t understand either, but by golly it’s beautiful.!
