Probably my second longest running design project (after the wedding invites) was my wedding ring tattoo. Never one for jewelery, I came up with hundreds of options for a letter ‘K’ (for Kate) to be inscribed on my wedding finger, and was my own worst client!
See below for the outcome, nice and simple, legible and classic… And it hurt like hell…
We had a combination of late Christmas, farewell to Skye Luckins and welcome to Finn Butler lunch and bowling day last Friday in St Kilda. Unfortunately for us, Skye has decided to move on from the Buro North team to work for the Alpha Autism Association, on their Drawtism Campaign. Lunch at Mirka was cracking, as was the pace of the bowling with Thomas taking the kitty for best game and Vossy for best technique (see photos below)..
We are currently seeking an exceptional mid-weight Graphic Designer with minimum 2 years experience and a Town Planner interested in Urban & Health Wayfinding projects. Please email your CV, with references and folio where relevant to ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’ and please keep ‘em under 5mb.!.
As 2008 came to a close Buro North kicked into overdrive, with a few big projects, new staff, a wedding and a case of Dengue Fever.!. Instead of celebrating the years’ success, we worked harder… and… produced some 6-Packs of Mountain Goat Brewery India Pale Ale to share with our clients and collaborators. Packaged simply with ink stamps and a cute label, we hope those who received ‘em, enjoyed ‘em! Cheers to that.
We would like to officially welcome Australia’s pre-eminient Wayfinding expert, Finn Butler to the Buro North family! Having collaborated extensively with Finn for the past two years (whilst he was the Principle Wayfinding Strategist at ID/Lab), we are excited to now have him lead our growing Wayfinding & Signage team in 2009.
