Casting the Falls Creek signage modules

Fantastic to see the casting process first hand last week for the Falls Creek wayfinding signage we designed over the last year or so… Being manufactured by Schiavello, the alloy modular components were being cast at Mullholland Foundry who showed us the incredible craft behind casting… Lots of process images here…

    Wow, they are stunning photos. Great process recorded, the satin forms in the last photo are well worth the effort - congratulations.

    Hello. Great post. Designers usually hide this side of things. Nice to see it celebrated. To be honest, in 15 years of manufacturing, not many designers spend the time to come into the factory to see the reality of manufacturing. Interesting read. Keep it up.
